The Astoria taproom for the Buoy Beer Company features lots of their beers on tap, from the cream ale to Czech pilsner and seasonal brews like the Baltic porter and Helles Bock lager. The food menu boasts delicious small and large bites to enjoy, like cheddar cheese curds, oyster shooters and rockfish & chips. Open every day 12-8 pm and Saturday from 11 am-8 pm. Favorites include Bosanski Sudzuk (Bosnian cold smoked beef sausage), stuffed cabbage leaves with beef or vegetables, pitas with beef, spinach, cheese or rotisserie-roasted fresh young lamb. The restaurant is housed in a historic cannery building and features an outdoor patio with a fire pit for outdoor dining. Menu highlights Dungeness Crab cakes, grilled octopus with chorizo and roasted garlic aioli, and Oregon Coast Lingcod with cannellini bean puree, cherry tomatoes, and basil pesto — all served with with panoramic views of the Columbia River and the Astoria-Megler Bridge. This casual restaurant is located a bit outside of downtown Astoria in an unassuming building and by many accounts, it's serving up the best pizza in town. Enjoy views of the Columbia River while munching on a variety of pizzas, including a seafood pie topped with shrimp, crab-flavored white fish & a special house Crab Louie sauce or something more traditional, like pepperoni or Hawaiian.
